March 31, 2012

We awoke to a grey and windy day. Not great but not terrible, in terms of lighting anyway, for a morning of photos along the final stretch of the Great Ocean Road. We visited a number of natural wonders, all rock formations, including the Arch, London Bridge, the Grotto, Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands. Each one was pretty amazing, even London Bridge which has fallen down. (I’ll let the photos do the talking for me for this entry.)

It not being the nicest of weather, we stopped only for about 10 or 15 minutes at each place, especially since we had about 8 or so hours of driving ahead of us to get to Albury/Wodonga where we would be spending the night.

The rest of the day isn’t really noteworthy as it consisted only of driving and listening to The Hip on repeat until we arrived in Albury/Wodonga around 11:30pm. When we got to our hostel we went straight to bed so that we’d be well rested to get on the road at a reasonable hour in order to make it back to Canberra with enough time to clean Jamie’s car and make it over to Jamie’s mum’s house for dinner.
